Perlane, like Restylane, is a dermal filler and is a long-lasting gel that, once injected into the skin with an ultra-fine needle, lift and add volume and help diminsh fine lines. Made of a natural substance called hyaluronic acid, it is a completely safe treatment. The hyaluronic acid in Perlane simply supplements the body's age-depleted hyaluronic acid to plump-up the lip or to raise the skin and 'fill in' the particular wrinkle being treated.
The difference between Restylane and Perlane is the size of the particle (with Perlane containing more hyaluronic acid). This means that Perlane does a better job of filling deep lines while Restylane is used in fine lines or in thin skinned people.

LASER HAIR REMOVAL
We are proud to announce that our office is the first office in the county to offer laser hair removal using the new Lumenis High Speed LightSheer Duet. This laser produces a larger beam of highly concentrated light. The light emitted is well absorbed by the pigment located in the hair follicles. During the procedure, the laser pulses for a fraction of a second, allowing the hair to absorb the light and heat up. As it heats up, the hair shaft and bulb are damaged which significantly impedes its ability to re-grow. And with the large spot size, the process treats numerous hair follicles simultaneously, making the treatment much faster that traditional laser hair removal alternatives. The LightSheer High Speed handpiece uses breakthrough vacuum assisted technology in combination with diode laser light to allow rapid and treatment of large areas. Your back or legs can now be treated in 15-20 minutes, without the need for topical numbing creams.

Blephoroplasty-- You may be a candidate for an eyelid lift (blepharoplasty) if you have excessive, sagging, or wrinkled upper or lower eyelid skin. An eyelid lift can also be helpful if you have excess upper eyelid skin that interferes with vision or if you have lost your natural upper eyelid crease. An eyelid lift may also be indicated if you have puffy pouches of fat in the upper or lower lids that create a tired or aged appearance. The eyelid lift procedure is intended to produce a more youthful and rested appearance of the eyes. The procedure may also widen your visual fields if excessive upper lid skin has partially blocked vision. This procedure can be preformed in the office.
Mini Face Lift-- A mini face lift may be desirable if you are developing jowls and creases between the base of the nose and the corners of the mouth, or facial and neck wrinkles. If you believe you lack youthful chin and neck contours and/or feel you have a tired facial appearance, a Mini Facelift may be the answer. A mini facelift is intended to give you a more rested and youthful contour to the face and neck. The surgical procedure is done under local anesthesia. Patients can usually go back to normal daily activities within 5 days.
Otoplasty-- is a cosmetic surgery to change the appearance of a person's external ears. Otoplasty can take many forms, such as bringing the ears closer to the head (often called ear pinning), reducing the size of very big ears, or reshaping various bends in the cartilage. Other reconstructive procedures deal with the deformed, or abscent-microtic ears. Otoplasty surgery can involve a combination of moving, reshaping, adding, or removing structural ear elements.
